Formal Analysis

 

In a paper of no more than three pages in length, write a formal analysis of one of the three Buddhist sculptures listed below.  Your essay should be based on observation and description.  You are not expected to discussion the history of the work. Pay attention the material, the ornamentation and the orientation of the image and ways it engages the devotee.
