This seminar is designed to provide an intensive advanced-level experience. Team taught by studio faculty from each of the Five Colleges, classes are held on a rotating basis on all five campuses. Students are responsible for pursuing their work through individual thematic development in varied drawing media throughout the semester. Attendance is required at both weekly class meetings. Meetings may include lectures on drawing issues, critiques of student work, and in-class work. Two class sessions are devoted to group critiques with all faculty teaching the course. An exhibition of student work produced in the course is scheduled during the last week of classes. Requisite: At least one course in basic drawing, or consent of the instructor. Instructor consent required. Limited to 15 students. Offered once Fall semester. Five College Lecturer Culhane.
