Instrumentation for imaging, photometry, and spectroscopy. Astronomical detectors. Computer graphics and image processing. Error analysis and curve fitting. Data analysis and astrophysical interpretation. Evening laboratories to be arranged. Requisite: Two courses of Physics and one of Astronomy 24, 29, 30, 35. Not open to first-year students.
