Blast Analysis at NCBI

NCBI is associated with both the Nat. Institutes of Health, NIH, and the Nat. Library of Medicine. NCBI provides an astonishingly rich resource for those interested in biology or biotechnology. Observe: "PubMed" is a powerful, easy-to-use reference search engine, with links to tons of other databases. "OMIM" (Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man) has information, rather detailed, on thousands of inherited human conditions. "Human Genome Resources" has invaluable information: download all 3 billion base pairs, or search for a given gene or sequence etc. etc. It's a BLAST! (as they say, in the gene-searching biz). All fun to browse in your spare time.
