Discussing racial gaps in IQ testing is difficult.  You are welcome to post your thoughts here, but I imagined that very few people would respond to posts on the issue because it is such a 'hot-button' issue.  Instead, let’s think about the role of science in addressing questions in the public domain.  If racial gaps in IQ testing is more controversial than you wish to discuss, think about global warming or evolution, or any other similar question.  How should science be used to inform debate or make policy?  What cautions should be observed on using science for political ends?  Bear in mind that science once told us that the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth.  So, what science tells us today might be wrong.
