Congratulations to (left to right) Ronin Rodkey, Diana Tiburcio, Carley Malloy, Molly Sanderson, Eline Laurent, Nicole Chung and (not pictured) Alondra Saucedo Espinno!

On Friday, March 25, the first seven Amherst College seniors to major in Education Studies presented research projects in a two-hour capstone symposium. Their topics were as follows:

  • Nicole Chung: “The Case for Being Human: Institutional Strategies for Inclusive STEM Education”
  • Eline Laurent: “Effects of Parental Dyslexia on Children's Reading Outcomes”
  • Carley Malloy: “Doubly Removed: Bodéwadmi Reclamation, Remembrance and Return.”
  • Ronin Rodkey: “Understanding Bronx Science: Re-Framing the Debate Around New York City's Specialized High Schools”
  • Molly Sanderson: “Feminism and Fractions: A Feminist Math Workbook”
  • Alondra Saucedo Espinno: “Immigration and Educational Resources”
  • Diana Tiburcio: “Challenging and Redefining College Readiness at Passaic High School”
