European Studies

Ours is an interdisciplinary, individualized major. Our students and faculty work across many liberal arts disciplines to study the cultures and civilizations of Europe.

Through a wide range of courses, such as “Arthurian Literature,” “Cityscapes” and “Black Europe,” we examine the European experience, seeking to define those elements that have given European culture its unity and distinctiveness.
