About the Film and Media Studies Major

FAMS majors take 2 foundations courses: in critical studies and production. Building on this foundation they then choose 5 elective courses, and two required advanced courses: a 400-level course, and a 410-level Integrated Practice course (both to be completed by the end of their junior year). Seniors may opt to either complete a Film & Media Studies Comprehensive Exam or a two-semester thesis that reflects their individual academic and creative interests.

A list of required courses can be found under Major Program Requirements.
