Mt Holyoke: "Herta Müller’s Concentrationary Art"

Lecture by Dr. Brigid Haines on the works of Herta Müller, the 2009 Nobel Prize Winner in Literature.
Dr. Haines is the Head of Modern Languages at Swansea University, in the U.K., and the Director of the Center of Research into Gender in Culture and Society. She has published widely on Herta Müller and on German women’s writing, gender in German literature, and contemporary German writing from Central and Eastern Europe. Dr. Haines is the co-editor with Lyn Marven of the collection of critical essays "Herta Müller," forthcoming June 2013 from Oxford University Press.
