Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies
Amherst students interested in Latin American studies have the following options: (1) they can, in conjunction with an advisor and with the approval of the Committee on Academic Standing and Special Majors, design their own Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S Latino studies major, taking advantage of the varied Five College offerings in the field; (2) they can participate in the Five College Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies Certificate Program. This Five College certificate is not a major program and is viewed as supplementary to work done for the major.
