Students new to Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought (LJST) should explore 100- and 200-level courses. When offered, LJST 101 provides an introduction to the way LJST approaches the study of law. Some 100-level courses (103, 110, 143) are required for the major and will have a broad mix of students, from first-years through senior majors. Our 200-level courses are topical and somewhat narrower in focus than 100-level courses. Our 300-level courses assume that students have some prior LJST experience, and typically are restricted-enrollment seminars, required for the major, that involve significant writing. 400-level courses are reserved for senior honors students.
