Welcome to our 2023-2024 season!

Two themes traverse the ASO's four fall concerts: "Profiles in Courage" - musical portraits of three of our nation's great leaders: Lincoln, King and Kennedy; and canonic Second Symphonies.  We hope you can join us for music by Richard Rodgers, Jerod Impichaachaaha' Tate, Charles Ives, George Walker, Aaron Copland, Lee Hoiby, Howard Hanson, Joan Tower, Leonard Bernstein and Aldophus Hailstork -- as well as for performances by three Amherst College Class of 2024 soloists performing concerto movements by Carl Nielsen, Rebecca Clarke and Edvard Grieg.  We close the semester with the grand Second Symphony by Jean Sibelius!
