Juilliard-Trained Pianist Alissa Leiser Performs Recital of Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Brahms Oct. 21

AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College Music Department presents a concert of Bach, Beethoven, Handel and Brahms by pianist Alissa Leiser on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College. The performance is free and open to the public; no tickets are required. 

Pianist Alissa Leiser is recognized as both a soloist and collaborative artist of technical skill and interpretive command. She has performed at Alice Tully Hall, the Ravinia Festival, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago. Her orchestral appearances have included the New Jersey Symphony, the New Orchestra of Boston and Orchestra New England. Leiser’s concert at Amherst will include Bach’s Tocatta in E Minor, BWV 914, Beethoven’s Sonata in E Major, Op. 109, Handel’s Suite in F Major, HMV 427, and Brahms’ Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, Op. 24.
