“Brilliant, perceptive American pianist” Anne-Marie McDermott kicks off the 2013–2014 Music at Amherst Chamber Series season. Winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, she is recognized for bringing amazing creativity and intelligence to her programs and exuberant energy, balanced by sympathy, clarity, and technical control, to her playing. McDermott’s Amherst performance will feature works by Haydn, Prokofiev and Wuorinen.
