Music Choral Society Performance for Family Weekend

The Amherst College Choral Society, directed by Mallorie Chernin, presents its annual Family Weekend Concert on Friday, Oct. 28, at 8:30 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center. The program will be repeated on Saturday, Nov. 12, for the College’s Homecoming concert at 7 p.m.

Performers include the Concert Choir, Women's Chorus and Glee Club, directed by Mallorie Chernin and assistant director Hannah Goodwillie ’16, and the Madrigal Singers, directed by Joshua Young ’17 and Charlie Newman-Johnson ’18.

The program features a wide range of music, including works by Carol Barnett, Claude Debussy, Felix Mendelssohn, William Dawson and many more. Music of Estonia, Georgia and Ireland is also featured. The program ends with traditional College songs.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for children and senior citizens. Admission for Five College students is free.
