Trumpeter Feya Faku is considered one of the leading jazz musicians in South Africa today. His career has included work with South African musical legends such as Barney Rachabane, Winston Mankunku Ngozi, Bheki Mseleku, and Abdullah Ibrahim, as well as the current younger generation of musicians. His original compositions are representative of how South African jazz has evolved since the end of apartheid, while still retaining its traditional core. Joining him will be drummer Kesivan Naidoo, considered one of South Africa's top jazz drummers before his 2015 move to the US, pianist John Kordalewski, leader of Boston's Makanda Project whose recent work includes arrangements of compositions by South African pianist Ndikho Xaba, and the exciting Colombian bass player Carlos Pino.
