Music Amherst Symphony Orchestra Concert: "Come Sunday: Building Community"

The Amherst Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is proud to welcome Michael A. Elliott '92, 20th president of Amherst College, as well as the Amherst class of 2026 in its 2022-2023 season opening concert Come Sunday: Building Community.

The concert features William Grant Still's Third Symphony ("Sunday"), Florence Price's Andante moderato for strings, and Duke Ellington's masterpiece "Black Brown Beige Suite," which includes the Ellington standard "Come Sunday."

Come Sunday: Building Community will be presented Saturday afternoon, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall, Arms Music Center, on the Amherst College campus. Please note the special time. Admission is FREE, and COVID protocols apply.
