Presenting a celebration of Native culture through music and storytelling, the world-class musical ensemble is joined by storyteller and Washington State Poet Laureate Rena Priest. Together they weave new compositions and songs with witty, wise and poignant poetry and satire to honor the elders and ancestors. Their performance unearths the depth, joy and solidarity that Native people find in their community, culture and family. Opening words and song will be by nationally acclaimed author, citizen of the Nipmuc Nation of Massachusetts and director of the Ohketeau Cultural Center, Larry Spotted Crow Mann. Please join us for a talkback with all the performers following the performance.
