Music ACJE McBride Commission Concert

The Amherst College Jazz Ensemble performs a new work in the Powerhouse on the Amherst College campus. Admission is free; no tickets are required. Current Amherst COVID protocols apply.

This is the newest composition in the Jazz Commission Series. The composition is the 19th piece composed for the Amherst College Jazz Ensemble as part of the ongoing composition series named after Robin McBride '59.

The McBride '59 Jazz Commission Piece this year is by Charles Nichols, and he has titled the piece '59. Our jazz group Gemini performs this as part of a short set, followed immediately by musical guests Modality, who will present a longer set. Cash donations to benefit the Amherst Survival Center will be gratefully accepted.
