The Amherst College Glee Club

The Glee Club is the oldest musical group at Amherst, which is also known as "The Singing College" for its long and varied musical history. Founded in 1865 as an eight-voice, all-male, student-directed musical club, the Glee Club is the fifth oldest collegiate choir in the nation and presently consists of thirty students selected through auditions from the Five College community. Its members have performed at venues ranging from the White House to the Notre Dame Cathedral, in over 58 countries all over the globe to date.

The Glee Club is made up of low voices (TTBB), but often sings in conjunction with the other groups that make up the Amherst College Choral Society. This coming year, we will perform at the famous Lincoln Center!
