The Amherst College Glee Club
The Glee Club is the oldest musical group at Amherst, "The Singing College." Founded in 1865 as an eight-voice, student-directed musical club, it has since grown and performed at venues ranging from the White House to the Notre Dame Cathedral, to date having performed in over 55 countries all over the globe. The present club consists of forty men selected through auditions from the Amherst College community.
The Glee Club is made up of men's voices (TTBB), but often sings in conjunction with the other groups that make up the Amherst College Choral Society: the Women's Chorus, the Madrigals, and the Concert Choir.
