AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College Department of Music will present “An Evening With Aesop,” a senior thesis in music composition by Matt Fernald ’13 on Friday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College. The concert is free and open to the public; seating is by general admission.
“An Evening With Aesop” will feature five pieces of varying length with dialogue interspersed between the musical numbers, all based on four selections from the popular Aesop’s Fables: “The Mountain in Labor,” “The Mice in Council,” “The Stag at the Pool,” “The North Wind and the Sun,” as well as the reference of others throughout the performance.
