Visiting Lecturer Adrián Gras-Velázquez

Adrián Gras-Velázquez holds a doctorate in Contemporary Spanish Cinema (University of Durham, UK) and two Masters in Creative Writing (Universidad de Salamanca, Spain) and Television and Cinema Scriptwriting (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain). His scholarly interests include second-language acquisition, contemporary Spain, queer studies, creative writing, social media and film studies, and cultural studies. In the past he has taught all levels of Spanish language courses, as well as courses on podcasting, queer hispanic art and culture, and Spanish cinema amongst others. He has also published articles on social media representations and identity construction, language pedagogy, and film analysis. When he is not working, he can be seen being walked by his dogs, Peque and Pepita.
