Roles for up to 15 actors
New and Five College Students welcome!
Shakespeare's play "Cymbeline" is one his late "romances." Rarely produced, "Cymbeline" is a tale of royal intrigue, strange coincidences, romantic betrayal, war and divine guidance-- and is Morgan Brown's senior project in acting. Directed by Professor Ron Bashford, the show has lots of great roles, and many cast members will play more than one part. Students who are interested in assistant stage managing should also come!
Tuesday, Sept. 2, and Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m.
Amherst College, Webster Hall, Studio 3 (on the lowest level)
Come to either night at 7 p.m., and be on time!
Each student may prepare a solo selection of Shakespeare-- a monologue or a sonnet. Alternatively, selections will be available in the THDA Department lounge beginning Sept. 1. Students will first work together as a group, and then be seen individually, with some callbacks later each evening. Please bring something to do while you wait. Auditions will be for the ensemble as a whole, with individual casting taking place after rehearsals begin on Sept. 4.
The show goes up on Oct. 30 and 31 and Nov. 1.
Questions should be directed to Professor Bashford at firstname.lastname@example.org.
