Theater & Dance Research Sources

The Robert Frost Library provides a number of helpful resources for students looking for reviews, articles, information on productions, plays and theater, dance and performance artists.

Students doing research for coursework or a production project should contact Sara Smith, Arts and Humanities Librarian, and also visit the library's Theater and Dance Research Guide page.

Frost Library houses a variety of special collections and archives related to theater and dance, including The Samuel French Company Theater Collection.

The library also has a large college of DVDs and videotapes of performances, documentaries, films and film adaptations of plays, many of which are not available online, and which can be found using the DVD/Video/Film catalog search page.

The library also subscribes to relevant publications in theater and dance, and the college holds a variety of manuscripts and special archives related to the subject, including an extensive holding of the acting editions of plays published by Samuel French.

Additional resources in music and visual imagery on campus include the Morgan Music Library and the Mead Art Museum, which has an online image bank.
