What if we told people what we really think of them? Amherst Theater and Dance presents The Misanthrope. Set in contemporary Washington, D.C., Peter DeLaurier’s hilarious new adaptation of Molière’s biting satire of 17th-century French court gossip tells the story of squabbling lovers, Alceste and Célimène, and the privileged busybodies who scheme to cancel their relationship. Directed by Prof. Ron Bashford, the show stars a cast of ten students, featuring Clay Zachery ’24E and Petra Brusiloff ’24 playing the leads for their senior projects in acting.
