Theater and Dance

Required Meetings

1.  Production Meetings

Students who are involved in a production season as stage managers, designers or directors/choreographers are required to attend production meetings.  Students will be notified by email of the date and time of meetings they are required to attend.  Generally speaking, production meetings take place weekly, and stage managers always attend.

2.  End of Semester Interviews

End of semester interviews provide an opportunity for students to meet individually with all of the members of the Theater and Dance faculty.  The interviews are held each semester during the reading/exam period.  Attendance at these meetings is mandatory for all majors (unless you are away for the semester).  Majors must sign up for a time on sheets posted in advance on the door of Webster G27.  Majors also must submit  talking points one week prior to the interview.  Talking points are simply a 1-2-3 list of items you wish to discuss with the faculty.  To help you consider your plans going forward, click below to download a checklist of major requirements.

3.  Junior Major Meetings

During the spring semester of their junior year, majors meet as a group on a regular basis with the Chair of Theater and Dance to develop their senior projects.  Regular attendance at these meetings is crucial and expected of all juniors.  Students who are abroad during his time should be in regular e-mail correspondence with the Chair.
