General Thesis Information

In addition to the information presented below, majors should read the the college's thesis guidelines at the Registrar's website:

Thesis Guidelines: Requirements for Format and Deposit of Theses

The Theater and Dance Department will notify each major by email of their thesis due date and of the date and time of their oral conversation with the major's thesis committee.  Due dates corresponding for Fall performances may be as early as mid-March; other due dates will be no later than the end of April.

Majors must:

A.  Submit by noon of the due date 3 copies in binders to members of your committee.  Students should check with the Library to purchase used binders.  Copying of theses should not be done on the Theater and Dance Department copiers.

B.  At the oral meeting, you will be given back the 3 copies to make any corrections before submitting the thesis to the Registrar.  Make corrections to all three copies.

C.  Submit one final unlabelled copy to the Registrar's Office the day before the last day of classes and one labeled copy to the Department of Theater and Dance.  Keep one copy.  Students being recommended for summa cum laude will need to submit a final copy with a DVD of their senior project enclosed.
