A field at Book and Plow Farm.

Each summer, students funded through CCE programs participate in a cohort to help each other navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and discuss next steps in their planning. The cohort meets together as a large group, as well as outside of more formal meeting times, to:

  • share ideas;
  • think through any problems they are encountering;
  • and generally provide support and encouragement to one another.

Starting in the spring semester before they begin their projects and continuing throughout the summer months, cohort members work together to:

  • create shared group agreements in order to build trust and clarify expectations;
  • develop guidelines for and subsequently engage in regular reflection activities;
  • and ultimately share what they learn with a larger community.
