AIT Budapest

Aquincum Institute of Technology (AIT) is designed for computer science majors and offers courses taught in English, including humanities and a language and culture course.

Spring semester students may apply for paid internships at a high-tech company.

Admission to AIT has grown more competitive. This program reaches its enrollment cap quickly; we recommend that you apply early and have a backup option. AIT has shared with us that “successful applicants have taken at least one proof-based mathematics course (e.g, discrete mathematics), at least one programming course (but usually at least one or two CS courses beyond the introductory course, including one on data structures), and very solid grades in those courses (the B+ to A range is the norm, with weaker grades addressed directly in the student's essay and in a letter of recommendation).  A thoughtful student essay and enthusiastic letters of recommendation carry substantial weight in the admissions process.” Applications are due on October 15 and students will learn of their admission by mid-November.
