Topics and Discussion
1. Select Chair: After discussion, Andrew Parker volunteered to chair.
2. Select ISG representative: After discussion, Jill Miller volunteered to represent the FCC on the ISG.
3. Inviting Jack Cheney, in his role as Associate Dean of the Faculty, to FCC meetings. All agreed that Jack could help facilitate and speed up certain work of the committee.
4. Two projects underway this year (and carry-overs from last year) about which the committee may want to be aware: Online Course Registration and moving the development and management of catalog information relating to courses to the web.
5. One project mentioned in Committee of Six minutes for IT and the Registrar's Office: online course evaluations. More information is needed about this project, including detailed specifications.
6. Topics already before the committee: recommending and prioritizing changes to the College website and the content management system, recommend a College IT purchasing policy.
7. The committee briefly discussed changes to the faculty & staff listing at the department level as well as the template in place for the faculty profile page. The College designer has started to mockup new templates, which the committee will review and offer comment.
