ACDATA: Too Many Cookies

Avoiding the "Too Many Cookies" Problem
Too many cookies happens when closing new ACData windows with the X instead of “Close Window.’  For example, when you view a transcript or pay advice you should click ‘Close Window’, not X.

If you get this message when working in ACDATA, you'll need to close your browser and re-open it.

If that doesn't work, you need to explicitily delete cookies from your browser. Usually, just deleting cookies for the current day fixes the problem, so you don't need to delete long-standing cookies.

Here's how to delete today's cookies in Firefox:

Go to the Tools menu and select Clear Recent History. In Time range to clear, select Today. Under Details, uncheck everything except Cookies, then click Clearn now.

Close your browser, reopen it, then log into ACDATA.

If clearing today's cookies doesn't solve the problem and you don't want to delete all cookies, you can remove the ACDATA cookies individually.

Here's how to do it in Firefox 7 on a Windows 7 (64-bit) computer:

  1. From the Firefox Tools menu, select Options.
  2. Along the top of the Options window, select the Privacy button.
  3. Halfway down the window, click the "remove individual cookies" link.
  4. Search for "acdata," select all acdata cookies, then click the Remove Cookies button. Click Close, then OK.

And in Firefox 7 on a 32-bit Windows XP computer:

  1. From the Firefox Tools menu, select Options.
  2. Along the top of the Options window, select the Privacy button.
  3. Click the Show Cookies button located towards the lower-right of the window.
  4. search for "acdata," select all acdata cookies, and click the Remove Cookies button.
