Study Abroad

St. Augustine, Trinidad

Students interested in petitioning this program must have a demonstrated interest in Caribbean Studies and/or festival arts.  Please see the Director of International Experience if you are interested in petitioning this program.

The host institution is the University of the West Indies.  Students cannot participate in the internship course for credit since Amherst does not award credit for internships.  Rather, students much do an independent study project.

The spring semester is preferred, as that is when Carnival is and the program focuses on festival arts.
