Middlebury has three locations in China: Beijing, Hangzhou, or Kunming.

Financial aid students studying abroad for the fall, spring, or full year in China or a Chinese-speaking country should consider applying for a Chia Fellowship. Chia Fellows are funded to spend the summer in a Chinese-speaking country on an approved internship, research, or other study abroad program.

Language pre-requisites: Completion of 2nd year Chinese, a fifth semester is preferred; in Hangzhou, students may have only one year of Chinese
