Smith in Geneva

Students must take a full course load during the semester.  Students may only receive credit for track B, University Studies in French.  Students with less than four semesters of French must petition the faculty Committee on International Education to attend the program and take courses in English. We encourage students to participate in the internship program, it is an excellent way to be immersed in Swiss life.  However, no credit is awarded for the internship (and therefore Track A is not approved). Concurrent with Amherst policy, no credit is awarded for orientation courses even if required by the program. The aplication is due in the spring semester for both the fall and spring options; please consult with Smith website for further details.

"This program has a lot of great opportunities. The fact that it is in Geneva an international city makes it a great place to leave from and explore the rest of Europe. I would only recommend this program to those people ho were truly interested in improving their French language skills, and were ready to some real work abroad, because this program is filled with a lot of things to do.
