University of Cambridge: Wolfson College Direct Enroll

Wolfson College, one of the newer colleges of Cambridge, consists of graduate and undergraduate students.  Amherst students may directly enroll at Wolfson for the full year (preferred) or the two spring semesters.  Students can take liberal arts courses in the social sciences and humanities.  Students admitted to Wolfson will be full members of the college and full members of the university.

Requirements for the participation:

  • 3.8 GPA
  • Good academic and disciplinary standing at Amherst

Application (see attachment for more details):

  • Official transcript
  • Two faculty letters of recommendation (at least one must come from the department of intended study at Wolfson)
  • Personal statement (be sure to address what subjects you hope to study if you are admitted)
  • Please note: Wolfson reserves the right to request writing samples before admitting students.
  • Wolfson may arrange a phone interview as part of the application process.

Students must submit the above materials to the Director of Education Abroad in the Career Center by Monday, November 25, 2013.
