Smith in Paris

Students take courses with Smith students, but also take courses in the arts, humanities, and the social sciences at local universities that are partnering with Smith in Paris, such as Université de Paris IV (Sorbonne), Université de Paris VII-Denis Diderot, Institut d’Études politiques (Sciences-Po), and other Parisian institutions for courses in studio art, music and dance.

Vassar-Wesleyan in Paris

Students take courses with VW students, but also take courses in the arts, humanities, and the social sciences at local universities that are partnering with VW in Paris.  Students can take courses at these Parisian universities:  Paris 3 (Sorbonne Nouvelle), Paris IV (La Sorbonne) and Paris 7 (Paris Diderot)— along with the Collège International de Philosophie and the Institut d’études Politiques de Paris (IEP or Sciences Po). Students who are interested in taking courses at Sciences Po must apply to do so during the semester before they plan to study in France through the Office of International Studies at Wesleyan or the Office of International Programs at Vassar.

School for Field Studies Turks & Caicos: Marine Resource Management Studies

South Caicos, Turks and Caicos

Science majors must seek approval from the department.

It is not necessary to use SCUBA to participate in this program, and many students choose to snorkel instead. However, if a student wishes to use SCUBA, she/he must be certified before arrival.  Divers and snorkelers must bring their own SCUBA and snorkeling equipment. Weights and tanks are provided on-site at no cost.
