Admission Office Programs for Admitted First-Year Students
Every April, after all admitted applicants have been notified and before the May 1 response date, the Amherst College Office of Admission sponsors several events for admitted first-year students: on-line chats with current Amherst students; on-campus open houses; and admitted student receptions across the country. Office of Student Affairs Programs for New Students
In May, new students will receive extensive information from the Office of Student Affairs about registration for classes, on-campus housing options, travel and arrival at Amherst, and the New Student Orientation Program (which begins at the end of August). Details of programming and specific scheduling dates will not be finalized until spring.
