Application materials for transfer admission are available through Common App Online. Please note that the Common Application is now a completely online system and will be available in electronic form only; paper versions will not be available.

To apply as a transfer student to Amherst, you must submit both the Common Application for Transfer Students and the Amherst Transfer Supplement to the Common Application, along with other supporting materials and a non-refundable $60 application fee or appropriate fee waiver. Applications must be submitted online; it is not possible to submit a paper application by mail.

Students who are interested in applying for transfer to Amherst should first be familiar with our transfer admission options, our transfer eligibility guidelines and application requirements, and our approach to reviewing and evaluating applications for admission.  That's all available at our main Transfer Applicants page, so be sure to read that information thoroughly before beginning your application.

Special Circumstances? If you are a U.S. veteran, a community college student, a homeschooled student or an undocumented student, please read our relevant special information pages for additional guidance on the application process.
