The Basics

Application materials for transfer admission may be submitted through Common Application and Coalition Application

To apply as a transfer student to Amherst, you must submit either the Common Application for Transfer Students or the Coalition Application for Transfer Students and the Amherst Transfer Supplement, along with other supporting materials and a non-refundable $60 application fee or appropriate fee waiver. Applications must be submitted online; it is not possible to submit a paper application by mail.

The Details

Students who are interested in applying for transfer to Amherst should first be familiar with our transfer admission options, our transfer eligibility guidelines and application requirements, and our approach to reviewing and evaluating applications for admission.  That's all available at our main Transfer Applicants page, so be sure to read that information thoroughly before beginning your application.

Special Circumstances?

If you are a U.S. veteran, a community college student, a homeschooled student or an undocumented student, please read our relevant special information pages for additional guidance on the application process.
