The Thomas H. Wyman 1951 medal will be awarded to Jennifer Rybak '10. Jennifer came to Amherst from Clifton Park, New York, and majored in mathematics and economics. She was selected as a peer tutor by the faculty in both departments and also works as a Student Health Educator, creating and leading workshops on health education, and has been a Resident Counselor in Stone, Crossett and now Hitchcock residences.
Jennifer is also an athlete on the indoor and outdoor track and field teams, which led her to accept a volunteer position as the assistant coach of the Amherst Regional High School team. Additionally, her work as a member of the Program Board has given her valuable experience in planning and budgeting for large-scale events. After graduation she will head to New York City, where she will be an Associate Consultant at Bain and Co.
The Wyman medal affords the College the opportunity to recognize students of Jennifer's caliber who are taking advantage of all that Amherst offers and serving as a vital role model for others as well. Thank you for your part in allowing Amherst to acknowledge this superb undergraduate career.
