Greetings from Amherst!
If attending our 25th Reunion left you hungry for more Amherst, or if you couldn’t make it to our Reunion and need a new opportunity to reconnect with fellow '93ers … I have good news for you. It’s time for Homecoming!
Join us November 9-11 for a gorgeous (and action-packed) fall weekend in Amherst to celebrate Homecoming. This year, we host the Biggest Little Game in America (thrilling sports fans since 1884) at Pratt Field against the Williams College Ephs. Kick-off is at noon on Saturday. For the full schedule of Homecoming weekend activities – including networking events, faculty lectures, concerts, receptions and more – visit amherst.edu/go/homecoming
. Come for the football, stay for a tour of the new Science Center (it’s done!). Have a slice of Antonio’s and some Atkins cider donuts. Have a second slice of Antonio’s and just one more donut (with cider).
The Class of 1993 tent – with food and beverages for your enjoyment – will be on the west end of the field, so look for our class on the map at each entrance. Student clubs and organizations will also have tables and tents on the east end of the field, so we can chat with current Jef … Mammoths.
After the game, a super-fun Homecoming Fest will be held outdoors under a tent with food trucks and family-friendly activities next to Smith House (22 Hitchcock Road). Let’s cheer for the Amherst victory against Williams that we never got to see in our four years on campus. (Nor did any class in the entire decade of the 90s, for the record). But we are 6-2 this decade!
While you are planning your trip to Homecoming, check out the brand new alumni directory on the college website. Login at engage.amherst.edu/alumni
and see who you might connect with when you search by dorm, sports team, activity, geography and more. It’s pretty cool.
Homecoming gives us the chance to remember our own experiences as students and to stay close to the College as it approaches its third century. It’s also a lot of fun! I hope you’ll return to campus this fall to be part of our celebration. #BackAtAmherst
