Student Newspaper Profiles Outstanding Graduating Seniors

The Amherst Student Fourteen members of the Class of 2014 were featured by The Amherst Student in the annual Commencement issue. The group included several activists, the former president of the Association of Amherst Students, a hockey-playing scientist and "the busiest role model you'll ever meet."

Record-Setting Number of Alumni Return for Reunion 2014

Reunion More than 1,600 former students - and 2,600 total attendees, also a record - got a chance to dine on the quad again, play baseball and attend programs through the weekend's activities. Olio Yearbooks Now Online, Thanks to Frost Library

olio Some new treasures have been made accessible for the first time outside of Frost Library. You can see every Olio yearbook, and a number of academic journals and subscriptions are available to alumni including JSTOR, Project MUSE, ebrary, and now the law database HeinOnline.

Glee Club Turns 150

Amherst College Glee Club In celebration of the group's sesquicentennial during the 2014-15 academic year, the current members are holding a song competition with cash prizes. '69 Economist Elected to Board of Trustees

Joseph Quinn Joseph F. Quinn '69 was elected to the seat vacated by Christopher Lehane '90. Upon completion of his term as elected alumni trustee, Lehane was appointed by the Board to a second term effective July 1. Both Quinn and Lehane will serve for six years starting on July 1.
