Wallace, a towering figure in modern literature, died Friday, Sept. 12, in Claremont, Calif. While a memorial service is being planned by one of the author’s former professors, Dale Peterson, Eliza J. Clark Folger Professor of English and Russian, for 7:30 p.m. at Johnson Chapel on Monday, Oct. 20 (more details will follow as they are finalized), the college continues to mourn his passing and invites notes and remembrances.
