Professor Boucher is a social and cultural historian of Modern Europe. Trained as a historian of modern Britain, her research spans the Victorian era through the 20th century, with a particular concentration on the British empire, the history of childhood, and on popular responses to warfare. She is travelling in London this spring with six students to do archival research on the history of first aid knowledge and practice in pre-WWI Britain. Professor Boucher and her students will speak briefly about their project and archival findings.

This event is hosted by Colin Hall '95.
