The Amherst Association of Philadelphia invites you to HIAS Pennsylvania for a family friendly day of service. We'll make welcome baskets for incoming and recently resettled refugee families. HIAS will provide some items and asks that we bring new or gently used items that families with children would find useful for daily living.
Some suggested items are:
• household cleaning supplies
• toilet tissue or paper towels
• school supplies
• children's books
• art supplies
• snacks
• toothpaste and toothbrush
• toys
Bring a few items from the list and your enthusiasm, and we'll bring the snacks. Children are welcome--this is a great chance to involve the whole family in your volunteer work
