The Amherst student community is highly diverse in regard to race, class, gender, socio-economic status, sexuality, country of origin, and physical ability. The challenge for the college and each student is to achieve inclusion, belonging, and a deeper understanding of self and others.

Please join Norm Jones, chief diversity & inclusion officer, Elizabeth Aries, Clarence Francis 1910 Professor in Social Sciences, and Allen Hart, James E. Ostendarp Professor of Psychology and faculty diversity and inclusion officer, for a discussion of issues that emerge when students from many different origins come to Amherst ultimately seeking an Amherst education. This panel will discuss many powerful stories that illustrate the challenge and richness of the student experience at Amherst College.

Held at the scenic Sea View Hotel in Bal Harbour, the evening will include a meet-and-greet reception, dinner and the panel discussion. The cost for the program is $10 for alumni, parents and guests, and free for current students.
