Burke Lake Park

We'll meet at 10:45 a.m. sharp in front of the Information Center
(on your right after the entrance).
Hiking level is Easy/Moderate.
Total distance is 5 miles round trip.
Please bring your own water and snacks.
A thirty-five minute drive from DC, scenic Burke Lake is a great spot for hiking and picnicking. The trail loops around the lake and is suitable for any ambulator, including kids and dogs.
Rides from DC will be provided (carpooling encouraged): We will try to have several cars leaving from metro stops or central locations. If you would like a ride, or can offer a ride, please email cmdeats@gmail.com.
Pack a snack or light lunch (optional): We will plan to find a charming spot for a snack break.
Directions: Take I-395 S to Newington, VA, and then merge onto I-95 S. Take Exit 166B from I-95 S and merge onto VA-286 N/Fairfax County Pkwy. After 6.1 miles, turn left onto State Rte 643. Follow State Rte 643 for 1.1 miles and then turn right onto VA-123. Follow for 1.7 miles and the park is on the right. Or trust your phone.
