Professor Emeritus Lewis Spratlan
Professor Spratlan taught at Amherst College in the music department for 36 years and has continued to live in Amherst and remain active with the College since his retirement in 2006. He will be teaching Composition I this fall. He is also a Pulitzer Prize-winner in music for a portion of his opera, Life is a Dream, which had its world premier with the Santa Fe Opera Company this summer.
