ACT New York City: Volunteer Day at the GO Project
Amherst Association of New York
Volunteer Day at the GO Project!
March 12, 2011
9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The GO Project strives to level the playing field for low-income, under-performing public school students by providing comprehensive academic assistance and social services to 400 elementary school students year round. GO's summer school, Saturday tutoring program, and family support components give children and families from Lower Manhattan public schools the guidance they need to achieve grade level standards and to successfully navigate the NYC public school system.
The GO Project relies on members of our community to donate their time to help make our program a success. Volunteers are essential to helping us provide the small group and individualized instruction that our students need.
Locations (to be assigned after sign-up):
- Grace Church School (86 Fourth Avenue between 10th and 11th Streets)
- Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin High School (272 Sixth Avenue @ Bleecker Street)
