The Austin Association will observe Amherst Caring Together (ACT)
week by gathering at The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
to participate in a project to conserve seeds from Texas and all over the world. The Wildflower Center is the first non-governmental organization to be invited to participate in the Millennium Seed Bank (MSB) Project, a global plant conservation effort. The MSB Project coordinates work by more than 30 organizations in 20 countries worldwide. It is one of the most ambitious plant conservation initiatives ever, and has conserved seeds from about 10 percent of the world's plant species. Please join us as we unite with other Amherst Associations this spring to make an impact in our communities. All Amherst alumni, friends and family ages 10 and older are welcome. As admission is free for participants, please identify yourself as a seed cleaning volunteer at the gatehouse. After the project, you are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the center.
